Our History

The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity have been involved in healthcare for well over 100 years. In 1985, because of the ever-increasing complexities of healthcare delivery in the United States, the Congregation’s various healthcare ministries—which include acute and long-term care facilities, senior housing and physician clinics—were incorporated into the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity HealthCare Ministry, Inc. This non-stock, not-for-profit corporation monitors and manages the Congregation’s health care ministry which spans three states: Wisconsin, Nebraska and Ohio.

The Franciscan Sisters use compassion and creativity to extend their healthcare mission to the people and communities where they serve. With vision and values, the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity HealthCare Ministry will insure quality Catholic healthcare for generations to come.
